How To Install A Free To Air Aerial In Nairobi

Free to air TV is an easier way to watch your favourite programmes without having to pay a subscription fee. To be able to watch, one has to have an FTA aerial installed properly.

There are three transmission points for free to air signal in nairobi. There is Limuru, Kilimambogo and Machakos.

Gotv has two points of transmission; Limuru and Machakos.

Startimes receives its signal from Limuru too.

Signet and Bamba are transmitted from Limuru and ADN from kilimambogo.

So, if you point your Aerial directly to Limuru you will be able to receive Gotv, Startimes, Bamba, Signet and Pang well.

If you point your aerial towards Limuru and tilt alittle bit to your right, towards Thika (Kilimambogo), you will be able to receive all the programmes, but remember if you move too much to one side, you lose the other programmes.

On your Gotv decoder all the channels will show including Signet, Bamba and Pang. The same applies to your Startimes decoder and Bamba decoder.

If you point your aerial towards Kilimambogo, you will receive all ADN channels on any Free To Air decoder. But you will not receive any other services.

If you point your aerial towards Machakos, you will get ONLY a Gotv signal. But tilt it abit towards Kilimambogo, you get both Gotv plus ADN Channels.

There is another way to get the signal from all the three directions without sacrificing another, although it is a bit expensive.

You can have three aerials pointing to all the three transmission stations, then connect all of them to a combiner. Connect the output to a decoder and you will receive all services with a very high signal.

If you can not get a combiner, use a 3-way splitter in reverse to combine the three signals.
