How To Reset Your Dstv Decoder.

 If your Dstv decoder is not displaying all the channels in the package you paid for, there is a chance the package has not been upgraded in the system

. You can contact Dstv on 0711066000, use the USSD code *423# or use the Dstv app to upgrade.

If the package is already upgraded but still you cant see the channels, you can try to rescan the decoder first, but if not succesful reset the decoder to factory.

To rescan the decoder, follow this procedure;

• Press the blue button written DSTV
• Scroll left or right until you get to Settings
• Scroll down to Satellite Settings.
• Press ok and select Home Network
• press ok on Scan All to scan.

Scanning will take around 3 minutes and all your programmes will resume.

If you still can't see some channels, then follow the next procedure to reset the decoder to factory defaults.

• Press the blue button
• Scroll left or right to Settings
• Scroll down to System settings
• Scroll right once then once down to Reset Decoder Settings
• Press ok, scroll down to Reset To Factory Default then press ok.
• Scroll down once to Reset to Factory Defaults then press ok.

The decoder will switch off, boot by itself then initialize to the first istallation page.

• Press ok on English
• Scroll right then press ok on Satellite E36B
• Scroll down to Manual Setup and press ok.
• If you are using a Smart Lnb or Universal Lnb, choose the correct one and press ok on SCAN. (Chances are the decoder lnb setting will still be the correct one, and there will be no need of changing it).

After the decoder completes scanning, all your proggrammes will be back. If not, you can take it to the nearest Dstv office or talk to your technician.
